Antje Sonntag is a Sydney-based freelance photographer whose work has been published in The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Weekend magazine, The Australian Financial Review and The Weekend Australian Magazine. She has a Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging and was selected as an Associate Exhibitor in the 2020 Head On Photo Festival for her documentary series Sunday, Central Hong Kong. In 2021 she received a community and cultural grant from Woollahra Municipal Council for her exhibition Collection Day and she has been a member of Amnesty International Australia's National Photography Network. Antje grew up in Rome and studied in Florence, where she attained a diploma of Restoration. She then moved to Munich where she worked at the Prehistoric Museum and completed her Masters in Anthropology. Antje was awarded a Postgraduate Scholarship to the Australian Museum and worked there as an anthropologist for many years.
